Keine Reise in die Bretagne / Normandie ohne die bekannte Stippvisite zum Lieblings-Klosterberg. Diesmal im Oktober 2019.
Der Stellplatz ist nur wenig besucht – vielleicht stehen hier 25 WoMos und Kastenwagen. Zudem ist ein Teil sogar abgesperrt. Natürlich freuen wir uns bereits bei der Anfahrt auf den Stellplatz auf die ausgezeichnet sortierte Boulangerie, die sich schräg gegenüber auf der Hauptstraße befindet. Es ist unglaublich aber wahr – sie hat genau an den Tagen, an denen wir vor Ort sind, geschlossen. So kommen wir erneut in den Genuss, unser Baguette, bzw. Brot im Tabak zu kaufen – und gleich auch dabei einen 51 Pastis zu genießen.
Highlights dieses Besuchs sind diesmal unsere Läufe. Sven absolviert laut Marathontrainingsplan seinen langen Lauf und ist 28,04 km unterwegs. Und auch ich bin das erste Mal mit meiner neuen Garmin Uhr im Training unterwegs. Ich laufe spontan morgens am Abreisetag, starte die Uhr, warte, dass sie ein GPS Signal anzeigt und laufe auf den Klosterberg zu bis sie zum 2. Mal vibriert. So weiß ich, dass ich 2 km hinter mir habe. Ich drehe um und laufe zurück. Laufen mit Blick auf Mont Saint Michel macht schon sehr glücklich. Und dass ich keine Höhenmeter bei diesem ersten Lauf seit einer wirklich langen Trainingspause überwinden muss, hilft ebenfalls.
Heute – am 3. Oktober – hat außerdem die Tante in den USA Geburtstag und wir können später am Tag mit Blick auf den herrlichen Klosterberg skypen – es ist fantastisch! Wenn auch die Verbindung eher wieder schlecht ist und dies ein Wiederholungsanruf vor dort ist „… ach – ich seid ja wieder an Eurem Lieblingskloster in Frankreich“. Diesmal genießen wir einen Blick bei starker Ebbe und können so die Kormorane beim Jagen und Trocknen beobachten.
Bei unserer Abreise an der Entsorgungsstation vor der Schranke unterstützen wir noch zwei Engländer bei der Ver- und Entsorgung, die uns auch gleich aus Dankbarkeit nach Bournemouth einladen und ab geht es zur „Pont de Normandie“ und weiter Richtung Heimat.
Tipp: Stellplatz Beauvoir, Aire de Beauvoir. Platz für ca 150 WoMos mit Strom, Frischwasser, Abwasser. Achtung: Wasser gibt es drinnen umsonst und an der Säule draußen mit dem Code, der auf dem Parkschein steht.
Auch beim dritten Besuch ist das WLAN schlecht. Alles andere wie gewohnt und zudem gibt es neben dem Stellplatz jetzt eine Karamel-Gebäck-Manufaktur ?

It is unbelievable but true – it closed exactly on the days we are there. So we have the pleasure again to buy our baguette in the tobacco – and to enjoy a 51 Pastis at the same time.
Highlights of this visit this time are our runs. According to the marathon training plan, Sven completes his long run and is 28.04 km away. And this is also my first time in training with my new watch. I run spontaneously in the morning on the day of departure, start the clock, wait for a GPS signal and run towards the Klosterberg until it vibrates for the second time. So I know that I have 2 km behind me. I turn around and walk back. Walking with a view of Mont Saint Michel makes me very happy. And the fact that I don’t have to overcome any altitude difference in this first run since a really long training break also helps.
Today is also my aunt’s birthday in the USA and we can Skype later in the day with a view of the magnificent Klosterberg – it’s fantastic! Even if the connection is rather bad again and this is a repeat call before there „… oh – I am again at your favourite monastery in France“. This time we enjoy a view at strong low tide and can observe the cormorants hunting and drying.
On our departure at the disposal station in front of the barrier we support two Englishmen with the supply and disposal, who also invite us to Bournemouth out of gratitude and off we go to the „Pont de Normandie“ and on towards home.

Le parking n’est que peu fréquenté – il y a peut-être 25 WoMos et fourgonnettes ici. De plus, une partie est même fermée. Bien sûr, nous attendons déjà avec impatience l’excellente Boulangerie, qui est située en diagonale sur la rue principale. C’est incroyable, mais c’est vrai – c’est fermé exactement les jours où nous y sommes. Nous avons donc à nouveau le plaisir d’acheter notre baguette au tabac – et de déguster un Pastis 51 en même temps.
Les points saillants de cette visite cette fois-ci sont nos courses. Selon le plan d’entraînement du marathon, Sven termine sa longue course et se trouve à 28,04 km de là. Et c’est aussi la première fois que je m’entraîne avec ma nouvelle montre. Aujourd’hui, c’est aussi l’anniversaire de ma tante aux Etats-Unis et nous pourrons Skype plus tard dans la journée avec vue sur le magnifique Klosterberg – c’est fantastique ! Même si la connexion est à nouveau assez mauvaise et qu’il s’agit d’un appel répété avant „… oh – oh – je suis de nouveau dans votre monastère préféré en France“. Cette fois-ci, nous profitons d’une vue à marée basse forte et pouvons observer les cormorans en train de chasser et de sécher.
Lors de notre départ à la gare de dépôt en face de la barrière, nous soutenons deux Anglais qui nous invitent à Bournemouth par gratitude et nous nous dirigeons vers le Pont de Normandie, puis vers la maison.
